Reading comprehensions

Reading comprehensions are easy for those who have reading habits or who love reading whatever comes there way and difficult for those who are not that much into reading. But because it is part of your CLAT exam you need to be exceptionally good in it. So, in this article I am going to discuss that how you should handle Reading comprehension and score good marks in it. Reading comprehension is of around 7 to 8 marks which mean a lot in CLAT Exam. Firstly, you need to have good speed in attempting RC’s but how to increase your speed is what is the actual question? It’s not that there is a tonic that you consume and your speed increases in reading comprehension. For increasing your speed you have to practice as some great scholar said that practice makes a man perfect. So, if you want to be a perfectionist in RC’s you need to practice a lot. The formula for increasing speed is that you take up at least five RC’s in a go that is back to back and attempt all of them and off course check them yourself. This is really a great formula to increase your speed This will not only increase your speed but also you yourself would be able to find different ways to attempt RC’s and also when you will attempt so many RC’s everyday you will get to know that how different type of RC’s are to be attempted. The different ways that I am going to discuss are all that are helpful in attempting RC’s but different aspirants have different choices. You should try all the methods and then find with which one you are comfortable.

Methood-1
Firstly, check all the questions which have been asked from the RC it would be good if you read the questions thoroughly or skim the questions and then read the RC properly and keep underlining the parts which you think that are answers to the questions which you had thoroughly read. This is one of the best ways to attempt a RC. The beauty of solving a RC by this method is that there is no wastage of time because the part which doesn’t has a answer to the questions is skipped out easily which leads to saving of time and as I always say that CLAT is much about time management . So, where ever your time can be saved save it.
Method- 2
Another way is that you skim the passage first and then read the questions and try finding the answers or it is that you read the comprehension thoroughly and then you answer the questions.
You can choose any of the above methods. The most important part is that you practice that method in your mocks so that you don’t have any problem in applying that method in the exam. The next thing that I would like to discuss is the level of RC’s in CLAT Goshhhh… don’t ever think that it would be similar to what you get in your school exams it is much above that and that is why I am asking you to practice as many RC’s as you can because if you practice the high level of RC’s then only you would able to score well in RC’s. Now from where to get the RC’s which you can practice every day at least for a month together yes I am talking about the sources from where you can get RC’s . You can get any book which is of CAT level and which has a lot of RC’s. Now why I am saying CAT level is because if you practice the CAT level RC’s you can attempt any RC which comes your way but the level of CLAT is a bit lower than the CAT Exam. You can go for Tata McGraw hill, Pearson’s and various other books. Please take up a book which has answers and it would be great if they also provide with explanations. It is my humble request please don’t practice RC’s from your school level books. .I hope my articles are helping you out if you have any queries you can always leave your queries below. Thanx for reading. You can also catch me on facebook

How to be confident while giving CLAT?

Just one day to go for CLAT the final game, the dream of many law aspirants. So, all my dear clat aspirants are you feeling nervous are you feeling like you have forgotten everything you have read.... Are you feeling that the clock is running fast today.. Well folks just TAKE A CHILL PILL... First of all tell your brain to just calm down , be composed and confident. Because if you are not confident it can spoil your exam to a great extend.. You need to tell yourself that you have prepared 100 percent and you will try to attempt the paper in the best way you can.. Read each and every question very carefully may be you know a question but just because you didnt read it carefully you were not able to attempt that question. Try marking the answers side by side and also please folks decide that how much time you will be giving to which section and also the sequence in which you will be attempting the sections. Carry pencils, eraser, sharpner, admit card(if your admit card has not reached yet by post you can download it from there website and take a printout of it) and water bottle... All the best guyz I know u r going 2 rock... for more updates join dis page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Common-Law-Admission-Test-CLAT/490955614274133?ref=ts&fref=ts

How to handle negative marking in CLAT?

Negative marking on my mind...!! Prepared each and every section properly.. Attempted lot of mocks but then also there is one thing that all clat aspirants are most afraid of that is NEGATIVE MARKING
but guyz remember that negative marking is for all not only for you.. But what should be the strategy Look there are basically two type of aspirants one are those who are serious clat aspirants and have prepared thoroughly another are those who have prepared a bit and rest is left on guess work.. So, the strategy would be different for these two types of aspirants for serious clat aspirants i would suggest that you firstly attempt the questions of which you are 100 percent sure secondly those in which you are able to cross out two options and thirdly those in which you are able to cross out any one option. But yes you need to leave those answers of which you have no idea... Now for those who are dependent on guess work they have to take the risk of attempting maximum questions by marking the same options for many questions. All the best and rock the exam.. At the end if you find that you have attempted very less questions or in a section a lot of questions are there which u dont know then you have rely on guess work only...Remember it is just a suggestion if you have any other strategy do share and if it works for u apply that in the FINAL GAME...
